im a type 2 diabetic since 2005,and noticed that it seems like im getting hot flashes in air conditioned areas, and for some reason it seems like for no reason i been having to urinate quickly.also, does the heat have any sort of affects on blood suagr numbers, thank you.
Hi Grant, Heat can cause blood glucose levels to fluctuate more, but that doesn't sound like your issue. Your body is not responding correctly to the environment (hot flashes in cold rooms). This means you may have diabetes-related neuropathy, a form of nerve damage that can develop when a person's blood glucose level runs high for an extended period of time, such as years or months. This could also explain the odd impulse you have to urinate quickly for no apparent reason. Your body is sending and receiving incorrect messages. Mention your symptoms to your health care team and do what you can to maintain your glucose level in a healthy range. Janis

I know when there are changes in the air that can happen. I would think seeing a dcotor might be a good thing.
