Hi, I'm new here just today. This is such an interesting site with lots of good information. I just wish I could find something here to help me. I am in stage 3 kidney failure along with prediabetes. I'm looking for a diet to lower my diabetes numbers plus satisify a kidney diet. The two diets contradict one another. For diabetes: high fiber, nuts, grains.... but for kidney: low fiber, no nuts, grains or whole wheat. I'm almost pulling my hair out trying to work out menus and recipes for a plan for one week. The kidney site has wonderful menus but all work against a diabetes diet and visa versa!!! I even went to a local dietitian and she said that it was very complicated. After spending a half hour, I ended up with a list of do's and don't's. So...how to make a meal??? How to plan menus??? I'm so frustrated.
