Hey Digabetic- Glad you're here. Do you do shots or use a pump? I've had type 1 for 35 years. This site has helped me learn so much and connect with many different people living with diabetes. Hope you find the site just as helpful. -Jenna

Hello digabetic and welcome to dLife. Unlike you I have T2, but like you I have a family history of T2 (mother, father, sister [? T1 was diagnoised as T2 around the age of 28 -- 35 in the late 60's early 70's when they thought that only kids got T1], both grandmothers, and at least 1 aunt). Right now I'm on diet and exercise to control my diabeties but every now and then I need a good hug. Make sure to check out all of the forums I'm sure your insight could help everyone and who knows you might learn something you didn't know. Again welcome. Gima
