Check in time everyone. How did you all do with the holidays? Lose any weight? Gain weight or stay the same? Blood sugars stay in check and did you stay on track? Would love to hear how you all did? I fell off the exercise wagon. Didn't go to curves hardly at all during the month, but did use my Wii more in place of curves. However I have found that it doesn't make up for the weight training. My blood sugar has gone up a bit. Not a lot, but I noticed when going to curves I run usually around 85 in the mornings without it I run about 100. You guys with more experience tell me is that really bad? On a good note I have lost 3.5 pounds and am now down to 172.5 as of this morning. I am starting to stress about my busy season coming up now and if I willfind the time to make it back to curves or if I should just find some other form of exercise for the time being. Happy new year to all of you! Melinda

December is a crazy month.....everywhere I look there is food. Over the next two weeks I have some type of function to attend every evening. The one I was at last night served only dainties.....I couldn't believe it. I agree with you Bandito, my goal is to not gain any more weight over the holidays and to keep my BG levels stable. I am doing very little baking this year....3 types of cookies made with xyletol so they are lower carb.

That is wonderful news Faith!!! I knew inside that your A1C would be low. I know when we are conscious like you are things like that usually turn out better than expected. Sally

Great job on that A1c Faith! Keep working on yours Nancy it will come down once the stress in your life eases up. You are always exercising so I know you are doing what you can on your end. December has been a hard month for me to lose weight. I think my appetite has increased and I seem to be eating out more than I like. Only have lost 1 lb this month so far. But my A1c is down to 5.4 so I am happy about that! Good luck ladies, maybe all we can hope for this month is just to not gain any weight and that would be our success!

I just got back from the Dr. Good news is that my A1C was 5.8 YIPPEE and my cholesterol is coming down. Bad news is that I gained a couple of pounds in the last three months. Not surprising as my eating habits have not been great and I have missed getting to the gym more than I have gone. Still, overall good news!

Congratulations on the weight loss Nancy. Sorry that your A1C is so high. I hope you keep it posted about if it corrects itself or if there is some sort of adjustment you need in your care plan ok? Sally
