This site has really been less that cooperative lately? Well, I got the bug and have been doing 5ks on the treadmill, a few times on the ellipitcal and a couple times on the bike.. I clocked close to 70 miles in January.. Yesterday after a recovery day, I did a 5k yesterday and today since I worked past closing of the YMCA.. I went to the local high school (its got a synthetic track) and walked 3.5 miles.. 3.25 and then .25 to cool down.. No running yet and maybe never.. dont want to make my "Frankenknee" rebel.
My doctor was pretty happy last visit.. BP down, weight down 6 pounds (not super happy about that personally) and I mentioned that i was doing 5ks and he gave me "the look".. I explained that I was way too fat to run and was walking them at a 3 - 3.7 mph pace. He brightened up and said that he tells his patients that there are two reasons to run... one, if your house is on fire.. or two, if you are being chased by a large animal with sharp teeth.
Not feeling a whole lot different other than just wanting to go and excerise.
