I have been on everything on the market today. At the present I am on Humilin which is a concentrated version of any insulin. My doc has tried them all on me. I lost half my pancreas to pancreatitis in 2008. Lost about all the basel cells that produce insulin. I was recently on Novalog 70/30. It worked fine for a while. I did get a lot of lows with it and he would adjust it and would go higher than normal. I usually have #'s 180 to 280.

I think its just one  of those things.           I was switched from Humalog to Novalog  about 8 yrs ago even before any changes.        I was also switched from   one touch ultra  to  accu check  aviva   and all has been good.    These changes came a long time ago  its about the best deal.    I found little if any difference they are   very close  you just have to test as always.

I started with the Canadian equivalent of Novolog when I was pumping. It was officially "approved" for use in a pump. It didn't work well for me and acted more like regular peaking at the 3 hour point. I switched to Humalog and it worked much better peaking at roughly the 1.5 hour mark which matched my digestion and it was gone in 3 hours. I liked it a lot better. I have heard that most people who switch don't see any difference.

My HMO, in order to be ready to switch over to the ACA [Obamacare] is rapidly switching all my scripts to lesser-known  generics, and other brands or name of non-generic.

Today, I was informed that I would no longer be supplied with Novolog. In its place, I will be given Humolog.

Can anyone tell me if they used Novolog and switched to Humolog, and if there were any problems in the change? I've been on Novovlog since 1996, and always freak out with changes in meds.

Anything you can share will be greatly appreciated.
