monica: welcome, how you doing!  Honestly I remember like it was yesterday having to get help to use a lancet. Your going to have to make new habits, and get rid of some old one. It will get easier as your knownledge grows. Do you know what your a1c was? Do you know what a a1c is? If you can take a diabetic education class do so!!!!!!!  It help a awful lot. norm

Hi everyone, my name is Monica and I'm new to this site and new to diabetes.  I was just diagnosed last Friday (4-19) and I'm really not dealing with it very well.  I'm 38, and not very happy with how things are going.  But I'm determined to kick this in the butt and get away from taking medicine and daily blood sugar tests.  I hope I can learn some things from everyone!
