IF you want to order your supplies from a mail order source and your on medicare just called them and they can tell you what is specifically available to your region and needs and how to contact them.

We can get our supplies still from local pharamcies and stuff.  I get just about all my meds from a mail order pharmacy.  I just won't be able to get my diabetic supplies is all.

Thank you Nancy13  I will look into that, in case I have any future issues.  I really hope that I don't have to look them up though.  But glad to hear that someone is there.

Your local Agency on Aging will be a place you can get assistance  in figuring all Medicare problems for future reference. Nancy13

Yes, I finally got that figured that out.  I am so glad they don't cause any stress with all the new ways they are doing things. Everyone I talked to didn't know anything at the time.    And the company they had turned me over to, didn't carry the test strips?  Oh well I didn't understand it, and I don't think they did either.   Still awaiting to see if all is going to smooth with the way are handling all this.  I do know that it wasn't be in effect until July 1st 2013.  But found they had dropped me April 29th, 2013.  That did cause a lot of stress.  Because I was suppose to get my quarterly supplies in June.  They say this is to STOP all the people from taking advantage of the system.  And I do agree with that.  Let's hope it works for the people that really needs the supplies though.

I was contacted by Medtronic they said that this only applied to test strips & lancets and that I can still get my pump supplies from them since they are a medicare supplier. Check with your pump distributed.

I am a Type 1 Brittle Diabetic with complications.  I am on an insulin pump with the last insulin out there they could find for me. (already tried them all)  I am disabled from the diabetes and complications.  I got a letter from Medicare saying that my medical durable supplies that I get through the mail can only go through a CMA (Certified Medicare Approved) Supplier.  This is all the supplies for my insulin pump.  I can find no one that knows anything, and none of the ones listed shows that they cover insulin pump supplies.  Any information I could get would be great!  I have been working on this for a week now.  I know, I Know, don't stress!  I am getting stressed as time is running out!  I hope they are not planning on pulling the plug on me and my life.  I hope no one else is going through this.  Thank you for any advise you may have, it would be greatly appreciated!
