As  you can tell by how long it took for an answer this site is pretty dead.    It is like any other relationship  they just have to understand  that the partner has to take care of their diabetes.

Hi All,

My name is Greeneyedjerseygirl.  I've been in a relationship with my girlfriend for about 5 months and I'm getting an education on Type 1.  My gf has had Type 1 for more than 43 years so she's definitely got a bit more knowledge than I do.  I'd love to hear what other partners/spouses have to say about being in a relationship with your spouse AND diabetes.  Thanks!
