I am a 40-year old husband, father, and diabetic. I've had Type 1 for over 32 years. I love life too darn much for a disease to conquer me. I try to write daily at: http://thejaggededge.blogs...
I just started a regular exercise routine after 13 years. My goal is to drop 20 lbs and remove the suspenders from my swimsuit. :)

Long story short, I was diagnosed with insulin-dependent diabetes, in December 1976, after a misdiagnosis of the flu. That was over 32 years ago. Today, I am doing my best to keep motivated and living a full life with diabetes. I live for my wife and two boys and long to see them live in a diabetes-free world.
