I almost didn't leave a comment because I never seen an Endocrinologist before. When I go before a new Dr. or something like that I take notes with me & read them to the Dr. I will not offer medical question advise but I will offer my best wishes to you & pray that you ask the proper questions when you go. Speaking on sugar levels, mine just went really low so I better take care of that. My fault so all I can do is yell at myself.

The best thing to do is really think about what you want to get a grip on. Education for your pump, weight loss, you need to write it on a piece of paper and take it with you and talk to him about it. I am sure the endo will listen to what you have and see what he has to do about geting you where you want to be. Then it is up to you.

You will be fine, he will probobly draw blood to see where yoru A1c is at and if you log, take it with you. He may have you start a log, I am somewhat lucky because my pump logs for me but then again, it tells every litle thing too, so it keps me honest.

Figure out kind of a basic list or count of what yoru eating on a daily basis, a lose count for now, if they want a beter one, they will tell you.

If they put you on new meds, make sure you ask questions on why they are doing it and what ca happen, any side effects, etc. You will do fine.

I'm glad you geting some one to look at ya and remember that your the one that will be in charge of yoruself, theyar there just to guide you.

Don't let them yell at you, and I dont think they will. if they start up, just ask them what you should do to achive your goals.

Your on the right track, keep going.

You might want to contact your family doctor and ask what you should bring along for the initial visit. Since you have discussed this previously, you should be able to get some good advice on this.

When seeing a new medical provider I usually bring almost too much information just in case. I would take along any recent lab test results, a list of current medications, my medical records from the referring doctor, my glucose level logs, food diary, activity and weight loss/gain diary. That way they can make a better assessment of my condition. (I admit I tend to be a bit obsessive.)

Clean underwear, because you really never know. ;)
A good attatude.
An expectation of a positive experience.
A bag of M&M's (Bribery for the nurse)
A snack. (The waiting room is always interesting and you never know how long you will wait)
A book. (Waiting room)

Don't bring:
An open bag of M&M's (Yea I'm guilty)
Large pets.
a closed mind

Ok, some of them are kind of silly but not nessasarly bad.
