Hello there to all! My family doctor and I came to agreement a couple of weeks ago. It was time for me to get a Endocrinologist to manage my insulin pump therapy. I went researching for a great doctor and found one at Froedert Hospital & Medical College of Wisconsin. They have some of the best doctors in Wisconsin here! I will see my new doctor and begin building my team in a couple of short weeks. While I am very excited about starting my journey to a manageable diabetes. It is also the road to hopefully better weight loss too.
There is only one thing. What am I to expect on my very 1st visit with him? What kind of questions should I be asking. As i am discovering, I am the type that just does what I am told to do (for the most part) and don't ask questions. I want to be prepared for my doctors appointment. It is a whole new game field I am going to be playing now. I just do not know how to play this game field. I was wondering if any of you have any advice for me being new to this. I want to do this right!
You don't here much about Type 2 diabetics using a insulin pump to control their diabetes. I get it all the time from people questioning me about it. I am a very open person about my pump. I love talking to others about my diabetes, control ,and what resources I have. My hope is to start on the right foot, gain more knowledge, and get on the right track.

I almost didn't leave a comment because I never seen an Endocrinologist before. When I go before a new Dr. or something like that I take notes with me & read them to the Dr. I will not offer medical question advise but I will offer my best wishes to you & pray that you ask the proper questions when you go. Speaking on sugar levels, mine just went really low so I better take care of that. My fault so all I can do is yell at myself.
steveYou will do good I know.
