About The Tummy Trim Challenge

Struggling to stay on track with your weight loss goals? Join us as we dedicate 6 weeks to trimming an inch off our waistlines!
Why focus on trimming an inch off your tummy? As opposed to fat that accumulates on your thighs or arms, excessive abdominal fat actually increases your risk for heart disease and other diabetes complications.

    Hi
I am new to this group. I follow the diet I was given at my diabetes education classes. I eat salmon twice a week. I exercise 6-7 days per week. I have to. If I don't my bs goes up. I feel like a hamster on a tread mill. but I am sure the hamster likes it more than I do.. I do walking- 10,000 steps a day -- that is in addition to the exercise. I do weight training with 5 lb barbells to www.exercisetv.com with Cindy whitmarsh on Mondays and Fridays- 18 min. I work out on the eliptical machine on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sat and sometimes Sunday.. I walk 2-3 miles on Wed and Sunday- eliptical and walking days can be interchanged - depending on the weather. I like to do the exercises right after I eat in the morning.. so as to get them out of the way for the rest of the day. Anybody else exercising out there??? I feel like I should look like my pic.. but that is not me....

Hi everyone I am a type 2 and want to lose some inches/weight. My current weight is 167. I want to get down to 130. My oldest daughter is getting married Sept 20. and I would like to lose as much as I can by then. I am on metformin, glipizide, and levamer insulin. I was dxed in 01 and did ok until about 2 yrs ago. I've been on insulin about8 months. I have trouble keeping my BS numbers where they should be, everything seems to raise my BS, working, not working, eating, not eating. Just when I think I have it figured out everything changes. I need help.
