Got my results back but my "doctors" still can not agree on what is going on with me. My GAD65 results came back negative. I guess that is some good news. One doctor states that my triglycerides could be "clogging" up my system which could be preventing me from making insulin. (seems like a long shot but could be true) The other says that I am type 2. (Yet I have no family history, am WELL under 40, and I am not overweight.) Yet the other says that I am LADA, but again I have a neg GAD. I am just thinking that they are guessing at this point. I guess it really does not matter what I am, I am me and whatever they say is not going to make me a different person. I just would like to know what I am up against and what to expect down the road.
Good news: I got my BG down to 84mg pre-dinner for the first time since I have been testing. Bad news: Post dinner they shot up to 250mg. Good news: Within 4 hours my BG was down to 125mg.
Good news: My blood pressure has dropped from 140/108 to 101/80. Bad news: My son does not take me as seriously when my veins no longer pop out of my head when i get mad.
Good news: I made some major one day progress in the writing of a new diabetic program. (If you have not seen the forum thread, check it out here.) Bad news: I realized how much work it is going to be!!
